We are a professional tax and accounting services provider based out of Central Florida, specializing in cases involving U.S. citizens with foreign tax issues, as well as non-U.S. residents who may need to file taxes in the United States. In addition, we provide specialized consultation and assistance services to help our clients handle most types of tax issues, including IRS audits.

Professional Experience

expatCPA was founded by Joseph Schmitz, a Certified Public Accountant who holds his Executive Master Degree in Taxation from Florida International University, as well as dual Baccalaureate Degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Hamilton College, NY. Mr. Schmitz's professional background is quite diverse, with an abundance of experience in analysis of financial markets, telecommunications industry, marketing, internet industries, healthcare, economics, cryptocurrencies and international business, among others.
